Emergency measures in the event of damage

We kindly ask you to provice the following instructions

• Please shut down your system in the vent of damage as soon as possible to avoid possible consequential damage to the components and on the disk.
• Please also avoid a multiple switching on and off of the media.
• With uncommon smell or noise, we strongly recommend you to immediately shutting down the system.
• Please do not connect damaged media on other devices for a test, as already pure reading attempts may result in irreparable damages.
• Please be careful with the use of data recovery software, because existing data or data contexts could be restructured or destroyed.
• Please do never open damaged media, in attempt to repair it by yourself, because the results are usually daa loss caused by further mechanical defects and/or invading dust.

• As we need your storage media in our lab for the free diagnosis, you can also send us the completed contact form together with the defected storage media.
• Please spack the storage medium carefully, with cushion fail for example, so that no (further) damage can occur during transport.
